By order of the Board of Commis sioners of Nash county, North Caro lina, adopted on the 7th day of April, 1913, notice is hereby given that there will be an election held in said town ship, Nash county, North Carolina, on Monday, the 12ttf day of May, 1913, according to the law and regulations provided by the law and regulations provided for tlte election of members of the General A-wmbly at vlii. a ft Eastern Carolina Railroad Company, to an amount which has been fixed at 20,000.00, Dollars, will be submitt ed to the qualified electors of said township.' The charter of the Virgin. ia ft Eastern Carolina Railroad Com pany! provides that the said company may Issue second mortgage bonds to sn amount not exceeding Four Thou and Dollars per mile, for the purpose of aiding in construction of the said railroad, the said bonds to bear inter Ct at the rate of five per cent, and the principle to be due 60 years from the time of Issue. The charter of th Virginia ft Eastern Caroline Railway Company further stakes it lawful for any county , township, eity or tows in or through which the said railroad or its branches may be ' located, or which may bo interested In its con struction, to subscribe to the said sec ond mortgage bonds of said railroad company, in such sums as a majority of the qualified electors of any saeb county, township, eity or town may authorise. Such subscription shall be made in coupon bonds, bearing inter est at five per cent.,' the principle of said bonds to bo due and payable fifty years from the day of Issue. The elections to be held on Monday, the 12th day of May, 1913, in said Tows shin. Dollars, , of " such denomination of not less than $100.00, bearing inter est from date of issue thereof st a rate not to exceed 6 per cent, per an num with interest coupons attached, payable annually or semi-annually as said board of trustees of the Nashville School District may eleet, and shall bo issued in classes and mature at such time, or times, and . place, or places, as said trustees of the Nashville School District may deem advisable. Said bonds if Issued, are to bo sold, and the proceeds used for the purpose of enlarging , the .
